Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Benson, MN kicked-off its "40 Days of Purpose Journey" with a pancake breakfast for everyone on January 30, 2005.

At the kick-off we completed a small group sign-up and gave out the best selling book by Rick Warren, The Purpose Driven Life.  Since 2002 over 20,000 churches of all denominations and sizes have experienced the transforming power of living out God's purpose.

We're spending the 40 days leading up to Easter tackling that big question, "What on earth am I here for" with the help of each other, the best selling book The Purpose Driven Life and a little inspiration from God.

During the 40 Days of Purpose Journey, the truths about God's five purposes for people: worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and evangelism will be communicated  through:

1. Weekly messages by the pastors at both Sunday and Wednesday services.
2. Weekly small group meetings.  
3. Daily personal or family devotional reading and prayer.
